Fuifui Moimoi has joined the club for the 2021 campaign
Rochdale Hornets is delighted to announce the signing of former NRL, Tonga and New Zealand forward Fuifui Moimoi for the 2021 League 1 season.
The 40-year-old arrives at the Crown Oil Arena having played more than 200 career appearances in the NRL.
Moimoi made his NRL debut for the Parramatta Eels in round six of the 2004 NRL season against Manly-Warringah at Brookvale Oval.
He went on to become a club legend, including a try in the 2009 Grand Final defeat to Melbourne Storm, fending off five players along the way.
He has also featured for Leigh Centurions, Toronto Wolfpack and Workington.
On the signing, head coach Matt Calland said: "I am delighted to get Fuifui on board with the Hornets for 2021.
"He has played over 200 NRL games, and opportunities don’t come around that often to get a player of his calibre.
"Despite being in the twilight of his career, shall we say, he is still a devastating ball carrier and will have a great influence on the team with all his experience.
"I'm sure this signing will excite the fans and I look forward to working with him in 2021."
