Hornets wheelchair team set for Grand Final showdown this Sunday

Rochdale Hornets' wheelchair team will face North Wales Crusaders in the Betfred Wheelchair Championship Grand Final on Sunday 20 September.

The fixture will take place at Belle Vue Leisure Centre (2:30pm kick-off).

It will act as a curtain-raiser for the Wheelchair Super League Grand Final between Leeds Rhinos and Halifax Panthers, which starts at 5:30pm. 

Tickets are priced as follows:

Adults: £11
Under 16s: £6

The Hornets wheelchair team ended the regular season two points clear at the top of the Wheelchair Championship table, winning 11 of their 14 games. 

Following their final home game of the season against York Knights last weekend, Pete Hird's side officially got their hands on the League Leaders' Shield, in recognition of their efforts throughout the year.

Sunday's Grand Final promises to be a special celebration of the very best that wheelchair rugby league has to offer in the UK.
