Joe Hickey heads out on loan

Rochdale Hornets half-back Joe Hickey has joined North Wales Crusaders on loan until the end of the season.

Hickey joined the club in October last year, having impressed at reserve grade level for Warrington Wolves during the 2025 campaign. 

He has gone on to feature six times for the Hornets this season - twice in the Betfred Challenge Cup, once in the 1895 Cup, and a further three times in the Championship.

Hickey's last appearance came in May against Goole Vikings.

The club have sanctioned the move to provide the young half-back with further game time to support his development, and retain the option to recall him.
