Sheffield Eagles forward joins Hornets on loan

Rochdale Hornets have added further firepower to their pack with the loan signing of Sheffield Eagles forward Marcus Green.
The 22-year-old joined the Eagles towards the back end of the 2025 campaign and went on to make seven appearances for Craig Lingard's side.
Green is a product of the Bradford Bulls academy, who joined the club at 14 and progressed through their youth ranks, going on to feature four times for the first team.
In 2023, he left the Bulls after six years to join Hunslet, making 10 appearances before moving to the Midlands Hurricanes for the 2024 campaign.
The powerful prop represented the West Midlands side 34 times over the previous two seasons prior to his move to Sheffield.
On the acquisition of Green, Rochdale Hornets chairman Andy Mazey said: "Marcus is a player Gary [Thornton] likes, and we made inroads to try and sign him last year, but the move was unsuccessful.
"Timing this week, however, has worked for both Sheffield and ourselves as Isaac Reid has been recalled by Warrington Wolves and with Jordan Andrade also out, we are low on numbers in the middle unit.
"Thanks to Craig Lingard, who GT knows well, and also Mark Hannigan over at Sheffield, for facilitating this move."
