Millie Harris re-signs for Hornets Women for 2026

Rochdale Hornets Women have announced the signing of outside back Millie Harris for the 2026 season.

The 22-year-old outside back has made the decision to re-join the Hornets Women ahead of the 2026 season.

“I’m really grateful to have had the opportunity to re sign with the club," she said.

"From the staff support at the club, to Ben Bird, Rob Rigby and the girls, and the supporters who show up and support us every week, and the belief the coaches have shown in me last season, I wouldn’t want to be at any other club.

"I’m excited to continue this personal journey. As a team, by building on what we created last season, I’m excited for the challenge. I’m really looking forward to getting back on that pitch with the girls and seeing what we can achieve this season."

Rochdale Hornets Women head coach Ben Bird said: “At only 22, Millie, I'm pretty sure, is the longest-serving current Rochdale Hornets player, with 2026 her sixth consecutive season.

"I feel that continuity adds so much value and legitimacy to what we're doing. As a player, Millie has improved every year, but last year she took great strides.

"Without the largest frame and with regular dips in confidence, Millie's determination and bravery have kept her in the squad on merit. She's learnt that technique is as important as size, and her experience and forever improving skill set made her a key part of our success last year.

"I'm hoping this season will be another year of development and personal growth for Millie, as a valued member of our team.”
