Dean Roberts to join Hunslet

Forward Dean Roberts has left the club to take up a deal with Hunslet for the 2025 season.

Roberts first arrived at the Crown Oil Arena at the beginning of June, joining on loan from Betfred Championship side Featherstone Rovers. 

Following his release from Featherstone at the beginning of August, Roberts agreed terms to join the Hornets on a deal until the end of the season. 

The 28-year-old went on to establish himself as a permanent fixture in the Hornets pack, making 12 league appearances and scoring twice. 

Player and club have been in dialogue for a number of weeks, and we understand Dean’s wishes to pursue a new challenge with the newly-promoted Betfred Championship side.
