Luke Forber to stay with the Hornets in 2025
Rochdale Hornets can confirm that winger Luke Forber has agreed to extend his contract into the 2025 season.
The 26-year-old joined the club from NCL side Clock Face Miners in February 2023, and since then, his rise to prominence has been meteoric.
A former back-rower, Forber moved to the wing earlier this season, and it has paid dividends for Gary Thornton's side, claiming 16 tries from 13 appearances, making him the current top try scorer.
His efforts in a Hornets shirt have also earned him the accolade of being named in the Rugby League World's Team of the Month on two occasions.
Forber becomes the sixth player in two weeks to sign his name on the dotted line for the 2025 campaign. On his contract extension, he said: "I am buzzing to have extended my contract for a further season at the Hornets.
"We have to have a big push for the last remaining league games as we are still fighting to finish 3rd, which will put us in a nice position going into the play-offs.
"We have worked hard all year and I’m confident we can go all the way."
