ROCHDALE HORNETS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE EXCITING MATCH DAY PLANS

GAME DAY THEMES ANNOUNCED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PREMIER KIA
Having been on the road since the 26th May excitement is building and Rochdale Hornets are delighted to announce our themed match day events for the FOUR remaining fixtures at the Crown Oil Arena in 2023.
As the club strives to develop on and off the field, a particular focus has been given to our match day experience and specifically this eagerly anticipated run of important home fixtures for what promises to be a thrilling climax to the 2023 BetFred League One campaign.
Themed rounds in partnership with our principal club sponsor Premier Kia offer an alternative narrative to the day, allowing the entire Borough and our wider communities to come along and celebrate causes and subjects as well as opportunities to broaden the exposure of our growing Hornets brand.

'Fiji Day' is the first themed clash and its now just one week away as we count down to Sunday 23rd July and hosting London Skolars. 'Fiji Day" forms part of the our Sporting Foundation's Fiji Project, Bula Rochdale and will celebrate a connection which first began in the 1960s when Hornets welcomed two Fijians to their side – Joe Levula and Dawai. More than 9,000 miles separate Rochdale and Fiji and yet for many living on the tiny pacific island, Rochdale is considered a second home. Free Tickets have been distributed to LiteracyKicks students who took part in recent Fiji workshops in Primary School's as part of the plans for a great family fun day. 'Retro Day' Rochdale Hornets rich history and heritage will be celebrated in our inaugural 'Retro Day' on Sunday 30th July when we take on Midlands Hurricanes. It's a heartlands versus expansion clash as one of the founder members of the Northern Union back in 1895, face one of the professional games newest member clubs. Supporters from both clubs are encouraged to show their colours and sport their favourite jerseys of the past in what is sure to be a Sunday afternoon of summer family fun. Tickets are now on sale https://www.hornetsrugbyleague...
'Blue Lights Day' is a celebration of our emergency services on Sunday 06th August as we take on Alan Killshaw's high flying Hunslet. The event will have representatives from Greater Manchester Police, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, North West Ambulance Service and North West Air Ambulance in attendance. There’s going to be lots of attractions to enjoy on the day and we’re seeing this as the perfect opportunity to introduce people to real-life heroes, both on and off the field. Tickets are now on sale https://www.hornetsrugbyleague...
'Derby Day' No hype needed!!!! A mouthwatering clash with our big spending arch-rivals Oldham rivals any other rugby league derby for passion. We are delighted to announce that the full main stand will be fully open and provisions have been made to ensure an expected large crowd can be accommodated comfortably. Ticketing and further information will be made available in due course. Please note there are only a limited number of boxes and hospitality tables and packages remaining for this fixture due to a high demand and healthy advance sales.
General Manager Matt Rigby said: "We are delighted to announce four exciting themes and events which include entertainment, pre-match & half-time activities for a number of groups and areas within the community and much much more. We have some some fantastic offers to roll out as part of these themed game days and some special guests and initiatives planned, the likes of which have not been seen at Hornets for a number of years. All this and more will be wrapped around some really exciting home fixtures and some very meaningful games as Gary and the team make a final push for a play off spot. We’re really ramping up our game day experience and I look forward to meeting so many people from our community. I would like to thank George Delves and the Rochdale AFC board of directors for their support, as a supporter of both clubs and a Rochdalian myself i look forward to a future that will hopefully see both of Rochdale's professional sports clubs thriving and wherever possible working collaboratively ".
