Reece Dean joins Hornets on loan

Rochdale Hornets can confirm the loan signing of Reece Dean from Championship side Newcastle Thunder.
A product of the Hull FC academy system, Dean is a highly rated English talent, who has built a reputation as a dynamic try-machine who likes to play with the ball in hand and attack opposition defences.
Playing amateur at East Hull from the age of four, his career prior to Thunder saw him star at Under-19s level for Hull FC before spending time at Toronto Wolfpack, Doncaster RLFC and Hunslet.
On the signing, chairman Andy Mazey said: “I’m really pleased to have reached agreement with Newcastle to bring Reece Dean to the club on loan.
“Reece is a talented and very exciting half-back who knows the League 1 competition well, so his arrival is a timely boost to Matt Calland and the team ahead of Sunday’s game.
“I’d like to thank Denis Betts, Jordan and our friends at Thunder for facilitating this deal as we continue to work tirelessly to minimise the impact of injuries, suspensions and the recent Covid problems.”
On the move, Dean added: "I'm buzzing to be up at Rochdale Hornets and hopefully I can make a difference in Sunday's game against Keighley."
Tickets are available now for just £10.00 while kids can attend for free for this Sunday's Betfred League 1 clash.
