Chloe Mansell re-signs for Hornets Women for 2026

Rochdale Hornets Women have announced the re-signing of outside back Chloe Mansell for the 2026 season.

The 33-year-old outside back re-signs for the club after a successful season during our promotion year.

“I’m excited signing with Rochdale Hornets again," she said.

"Last year was such a special one for us, especially finishing it off with winning the league. Being able to contribute to that success and share it with this group made the season unforgettable.

"A big reason I signed back up is because of Ben Bird and Rob Rigby. They show nothing but support to every one of us, and having coaches who genuinely believe in the team makes such a difference. 

"We’ve got a great bunch of girls who are hard working, supportive, and always pushing each other to be better. It’s shaping up to be a really good season, and I can’t wait to get started.”

Women's head coach Ben Bird said: “Chloe is loved by everyone she plays with. She's so selfless in what she does on the pitch, and isn't one to ever take a backward step. 

"Off the pitch she's the same: consistent and loyal. Chloe's been a player at Hornets for a few years now, and despite being encouraged to play elsewhere she's remained faithful to the Hornets and played a huge part in what we've built. 

"As a rugby player, Chloe could literally play anywhere on the pitch. She is brave, strong and has a good passing game. Having her with us again this year is something I value massively, as I know everyone does.”
