Libby Hadfield re-signs for Hornets Women for 2026

Rochdale Hornets Women have announced the return of Libby Hadfield ahead of the 2026 season.

The 20-year-old back re-signs for the Hornets Women, having joined the club mid-season in 2025 from Warrington Wolves.

“After the success of last season, I’m really excited to get back out there with the girls," she said. 

"Winning the league was an incredible feeling and a huge achievement for everyone involved, and the whole team is motivated and ready to see what we can achieve together this year."

Rochdale Hornets Women head coach Ben Bird said: “Libby is another player who joined us on dual-reg from Super League side Warrington Wolves last year. 

"Having started her rugby league career with us at the Hornets a few years ago, she had time away from league whilst at university, and returned to play at Warrington before joining us for the run to promotion. 

"Libby is an extremely strong ball-carrier who still hasn't realised her potential. 

"This is a big year for Lib. She's still a young woman, and I expect her performances in 2026 will turn a few heads.”
