Evie Bradbury joins Hornets Women for 2026

Rochdale Hornets Women have announced the signing of Evie Bradbury for the 2026 season.
The 18-year-old signs for the Hornets Women, following a move from League Two side Rochdale Mayfield.
“I’m incredibly proud and excited to become apart of Rochdale Hornets," she said.
"Joining this team wasn’t a difficult decision for me. I was drawn to the ambition and the way the team represents itself on and off the pitch.
"It’s clear that this is a club that values hard work, respect and pushing for higher standards - and that’s exactly the environment I want to be in.
"This year will be a challenge, no doubt about it. There will be tough games, tough training sessions, and moments where we’ll be tested, both individually and as a group. But that challenge is something I’m genuinely looking forward to.
"I want to contribute as much as I can, keep improving every week, and do my part to help the team achieve its goals.
"My aspirations for the year is to simply grow and compete. I want the Hornets to be a team that’s hard to play against, proud of our performances, and united in what we are trying to achieve.
"I’m certain we will have a strong season. A special mention to Ben Bird and Rob Rigby [assistant coach], as they have already created a warm, welcoming environment for me at the club, alongside the rest of the team.”
Rochdale Hornets Women head coach Ben Bird said: “Evie has come to Hornets having played in the outstanding girls setup at Rochdale Mayfield.
"Evie is a young athletic player with lots of potential. Like anyone, but particularly with younger players, inspiring a bit of confidence, and providing a safe space for them to develop is key.
"I can already see she is going to add to an already strong team and squad. I'm looking forward to giving Evie the opportunities she needs to show what she's capable of.”
