Izzie Critchley joins Hornets Women for 2025

Rochdale Hornets Women have announced the signing of winger Izzie Critchley for the 2025 season.

The 19-year-old winger joins Rochdale Hornets.

She becomes the seventeenth signing to join Ben Bird's squad ahead of the 2025 season.

“This will be my first season for Rochdale Hornets and I’m excited to see what it brings for me. Being new to playing rugby I’m definitely nervous but I know I’ve made the right decision with Rochdale. This season I hope to grow as a player and make the most out of my time here and so I want to thank Ben and the rest of the team for giving me this opportunity! I know that this season will be one to remember!”

Rochdale Hornets Women head coach Ben Bird said: “Izzie is another of the new young energetic faces at Hornets. She's new to rugby but has thrown herself into preseason with so much enthusiasm. Both her handling and contact work is improving weekly. Like with most players confidence is the key to her development so she's in the right place and amongst the perfect group of women to realise what she's capable of.”
