Lauren Holgate joins Hornets Women for 2025

Rochdale Hornets Women have announced the signing of half Lauren Holgate for the 2025 season.

The 30-year-old half returns to Hornets following a spell out of the sport.

She becomes the eleventh signing to join Ben Bird's squad ahead of the 2025 season.

“I’m really excited to be back with Hornets for the 2025 season. Rob and Ben are nothing but supportive and I’m looking forward to seeing my confidence grow on the pitch and to see what the season has in store.”

Rochdale Hornets Women head coach Ben Bird said: “Lauren joined hornets with us in 2023, a big Salford Reds fan but without a lot of experience playing in either code. She's obviously a visual learner as her handling and kicking game are outstanding. Lauren is another player who will be a huge influence on games especially once she sees what I and her teammates see she's capable of.”
