Rochdale Hornets prepare for exciting run-in at the Crown Oil Arena

As the climax to the regular Betfred League 1 season fast approaches, we are delighted to announce that the Main Stand at the Crown Oil Arena will be fully operational for the upcoming fixtures against Oldham and Keighley Cougars.

This will give the club an initial capacity of just under 1,600 for both fixtures.

IMPORTANT: Away supporters are asked to buy their tickets in Block F/G of the Main Stand for both fixtures. This is clearly indicated on our stadium map when purchasing tickets online.

Due to high demand for tickets, we have made the decision to open the Sandy Lane end of the stadium for the game against Oldham as we target a crowd of 2,000+ for the first time in a significant number of years. This stand will be open to away supporters only.

With Oldham flying high in the league and the Hornets in good form, this weekend's clash is one of the most eagerly anticipated derby fixtures in recent memory.

Rochdale Hornets general manager Matt Rigby said: "We are delighted to welcome our fans back to the Crown Oil Arena for the exciting run-in to what has already been a enjoyable season, with a fully operational Main Stand for our two largest-attended remaining games.

"These final home games are now crucial to our finishing position and seasons aspirations, so we urge as many people to come along and support as possible.

"We realise that there will be large travelling support, particularly from Oldham but also possibly Keighley, and therefore have deemed it necessary to open up the entire Main Stand. Should advance ticket sales deem necessary, we will also look to open an additional stand."

With the full reopening of the Main Stand, the club aims to create a fantastic atmosphere that will further enhance our much-improved 2024 matchday experience.

We are counting on the loyalty and enthusiasm of both home and away supporters as we push for a strong finish to the season, and would like to stress the importance of early online ticket purchases to enable us to plan our matchday operations accordingly.

By securing tickets in advance, fans not only guarantee their seat but also help the club understand potential attendance numbers and a likely need for any further capacity increase.

This allows us to make informed decisions about opening additional parts of the stadium to accommodate supporters and ensure everyone has the best possible experience.

We encourage all supporters to buy their tickets online as early as possible to avoid queuing for cash and card ticketing services on the day of the game.
