DIRECTIONS TO SPOTLAND STADIUM

By Road:

Exit the M62 at junction 20 and follow signs for Rochdale along the A627(M). At the first set of traffic lights, bear left, past B&Q on your right-hand side, and follow this road until the next set of traffic lights. Here, you need to be in the 2nd of four lanes, heading straight across (Tesco is on your left-hand side). Follow this road until the next set of traffic lights, remaining in the left-hand lane to go straight across (the Cemetery pub is diagonally opposite on the right-hand side). Continue along this road and the stadium is on your right-hand side after approximately half a mile.

Parking at the Stadium for Rugby Matchdays is available - there will be a £4 charge per car and £10 per minibus or coach upon entering the Stadium.

By Train:

The ground is approximately 3 miles from the train station, so it is recommended that you take a taxi. However, if you would prefer to walk, the quickest route, with the station behind you, is to go straight ahead across the roundabout onto Maclure Road. After 300 yards, you'll reach a T-junction with Halfords on your right. Turn left into Drake Street. After half a mile, turn right at the traffic lights onto the A58 dual carriageway and head towards the town centre. After half a mile, you'll come to a major traffic junction with two 'spire' sculptures. Cross the road in the direction of Asda - this is Dane Street, Follow Dane Street round past Asda until you reach a set of traffic lights (Bury Road on your left). Follow the road straight on - this is Mellor Street - for half a mile until you reach a mini-roundabout. Just after the mini-roundabout, the road forks. Take the left turn onto Edenfield Road. After 100 yards turn left onto Willbutts Lane and go up the hill. The ground is 150 yards on your left.

MATCH DAY INFORMATION

Rochdale Hornets look forward to welcoming all supporters to Spotland on matchdays.

In order to make your trip as enjoyable as possible we summarise some key points below:

Turnstiles & Parking

Entry is via the turnstiles information located on your ticket. Please proceed directly to the turnstile on arrival and be aware of the spectators code of conduct. We no longer operate  the ‘swaps programme’ allowing junior season ticket holders to gain entry for free with their membership cards.

NB. Hornets Junior season cards and match tickets are free but must be purchased with a full paying Adult or Concession.

We do not operate a ticket collection service as online tickets can be printed or displayed on your mobile device. Booking tickets online or in advance will prevent game day queuing. Simply bring your ticket and scan the QR code at the turnstile.

Ways to pay.

We recommend that you buy early and via our online ticketing system. Your ticket is then sent to you on email and you can use this to scan into the ground at the turnstile.

Alternatively, you CAN purchase tickets for cash or card at the ticket office in advance and on the match day. There will be one cash turnstile open to assist those that are not familiar with purchasing online.

Choosing to purchase a ticket on match day may either at the turnstile or at the ticket office may result in a delay in gaining entry to the stadium.

Ample car parking is available at the stadium (£4 per car/£10 minibus) on a first come first serve basis. Please be aware that traffic enforcement officers do work weekends and parking in the coned side streets, in resident areas and on double yellow lines may result in parking fines issued by the local Council. Blue badge holders can park for free.

In 2022 parking restrictions may be enforced, please book your parking early to avoid disappointment. Please keep checking on the website for more information. We have limited disability parking, please contact the office for more details.

In 2022 there will be limited hospitality and refreshments. All refreshment kiosks are easily identifiable when arriving at the ground. Hospitality may only be available in line with Government Guidelines.

The main lounge inside Spotland Stadium is open to all unless there is a game day event which may restricted to hospitality. We will be able to open the lounge at Full Time to all fans subject to any remaining covid restrictions.

The 1907 Lounge will be open to all fans unless there is a club event taking place. This will be advertised in advance and fans wishing to buy tickets for club events may do so online.

Those wishing to purchase food or hot and cold drinks may do so at the The Lancashire Hospitality Cooperation located next to the Dale bar.
